Here's a red flag for you.  You have a god complex about you.  This especially comes out when you refer to yourself as "I AM."  Like Chris has asked, why are you here?

General Discussion / Re: Excuses for alcohol
« on: December 12, 2021, 12:52:39 PM »
I might be a little late to this but I'll say what's on my mind.  When people talk about alcohol in the Bible I simply point to Proverbs 23:31, "Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright." This gives them the Biblical definition of what it means for something to become alcoholic.  The moment they stray from this definition I simply point back to it.  I tell them that the Bible is clear and now it is our job to take the Bible in it's context whenever wine or strong drink is mentioned and how we need to determine if it's alcohol or non-alcohol that is being talked about.  My oldest brother, Adam, is one that has used every excuse I can think of and this is the one verse that he cannot refute because it's defined.  In time, like what happened to myself, Adam will become more and more convicted of drinking alcohol just as he did with "speaking in tongues."  If indeed anybody who is truly born-again and tries to make excuses for alcohol will eventually be convicted of it one way or another, that's just one way how the spirit works in us.

General Discussion / Re: 2nd Amendment Rights

You want to know the main problem with officers who do this?  Education and/or power hungry.  It's how these cops are educated during their training in the academy and lack of knowledge in the power of the Executive branch whereas they don't have to enforce laws that contradict the Bill of Rights.  And it's obvious that these cops, knowing what they are doing is wrong, get even more aggressive when people call them out on their mistakes.

I'm so sorry, I've spoken too soon.  I was watching the video and posted as soon as you said you were pregnant.  I apologize and should not have said anything before hearing the matter before it was presented;  Proverbs 18:13, "To answer before listening --- that is folly and shame."  My heart is broken now thinking about what I've just done.

Chris and Loraine, I am so happy for you two.  Having kids of my own changed a huge part of my life and no child would be more thankful than to have you two as parents.  After you get used to having a child it's not a bigger deal than you think.  God bless you both.

I know what you mean.  I got tired of hearing almost everyone at work saying, "Merry Christmas."  It's funny how people will get offended by the things I say to them in regards to our heavenly Father but they don't stop to think about how saying "merry Christmas" offends me, in which they don't want to understand why it offends me.  Granted, I respect their freedom of speech and that's why I tell them I don't celebrate Christmas when they say that to me.  But I wish people would realize how hypocritical they are when they tattle on me for getting offended by what I've said just to get me in trouble or to shut me down.

Could someone point me in the right direction to buy apricot seeds, I actually like the taste of them but for some reason can't seem to find where to buy them.  Rarely the apricots we get at work has a seed in the can, but I try to get them when I can.  Though, it's been a long time since we've got apricots at work.

So about the crime prevention.  I think it has something to do with the "church" being used as a Narcotics Anonymous meeting place on specific days.  So I don't know if that has something to do with it or not.  But that is beside the point.

I look at it this way, what he calls damage, I call repairing.  If a carpenter breaks out an old window he replaces it with a new one.  He repaired the old window.  It seems that this Chris guy thinks that the carpenter isn't going to replace the window he broke because he can't see what the carpenter is doing and judges falsely before the carpenter is even finished.

anvilhauler,

It's not as bad a situation as you might think.  Getting out from under the influence of my parents who have been mainly taught the wrong thing for 50+ years was a blessing.  Yes, it has caused issues in the relationship that we had but I've simply told them that I love God more and that God will always come first before what they think about me.  And just last Saturday I went with my dad and Adam, my oldest brother, to this fish fry that was taking place at a church, didn't know what church at the time.  This was more of an experiment to see what problems I could find there.  Of course, the first problem with the "church" is the huge cross engraved on the side of the outside walls.  When I walked into the entrance immediately there where two pictures of "Christ" and a wooden cross.  As I walked down a hallway there was another picture of the "last supper."  So I'm already feeling sick to my stomach at this point.  Then, we went to the eating area and in huge letters on the wall was a name, "Alex Rutledge."  So after we ate we went into the area where the preaching takes place to listen to Alex Rutledge.  Well, at least he used the KJV.  But there was plenty that simply made me mad and Adam was also pointing things out too.  Adam has definitely come a long way now to discern truth.  Apparently you can get to heaven by simply setting a good example, it's all about family in life, hate religion because it doesn't matter what religion you are because it's all about Jesus Christ, and you can anoint people who are not sick.  So as they were "anointing" Alex and praying Adam and I decided that this was a good time to leave and go outside until it was over.  So, when dad was taking me home I decided to ask him if he saw any problems with what he said.  He simply says that he's not going to criticize, even though he disagreed with what Alex said about religion.  I pushed the matter by saying that we are suppose to judge all things with righteous judgement and are suppose to rebuke and correct that behavior.  Then my dad said something that really made me mad.  He said that we can't judge an "anointed" one.  I blew up.  I said you have got to be kidding me dad.  So a so-called anointed one can't be judge and who determines who is an anointed one.  If a so-called anointed one rapes a 13 year old it's okay because we can't judge an "anointed" one.  All he could say is that we aren't suppose to judge no man lest we be judged.  I told him that you have taken that out of context and I tried to explain that to him but like always, he wouldn't listen.  In all honesty, he probably can't judge because he himself is already being judge for the same things because I have been judging him on almost those same matters.  I decided to tell Adam and Adam said that we may just have to go ahead an sanctify ourselves from our parents.  Well, he may be right.

What's New @ CLE / Re: (VIDEO) GREEDY PASTORS: Edwin B. Young
« on: August 23, 2019, 10:09:13 PM »
Ten questions I've answered while learning about tithing from the Bible and not from insane preachers like this one.

What is tithe?  Deuteronomy 12:17, Deuteronomy 14:22, Deuteronomy 14:23, Deuteronomy 14:28, Deuteronomy 26:12, 2 Chronicles 31:5-6, Nehemiah 10:38-39, Deuteronomy 14:25 is the only time when money is used, Nehemiah 10:37, Nehemiah 13:12, Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42, and finally Luke 18:12.  All these verses consist of first fruits of corn, wine, oil, or firstlings of herds or of flock, all increase of seed that the field bringeth forth year by year, thine increase, of oxen and sheep, of holy things which were consecrated unto the Lord their God, new wine, money on specific conditions, of our ground, of mint and anise and cummin, rue and all manner of herbs, and of all that I (Pharisee) possess.

Who gets tithe?  Genesis 14:20, Priest of the most high God, Leviticus 27:30, is the Lord's, Numbers 18:21, the children of Levi, Numbers 18:24, Lord/Levites to inherit, Numbers 18:26, Levites take tithe/heave offering of it for the Lord, Numbers 18:28, unto the Lord "heave offering"/heave offering to Aaron the priest, Deuteronomy 14:25, then shalt thou (children of Israel) turn it (tithe) into money, Deuteronomy 26:12, unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, Nehemiah 10:37, unto the priests/unto the Levites, Nehemiah 10:38, Levites take tithes, Nehemiah 12:44, for the priests and Levites, Nehemiah 13:5, to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, Malachi 3:8, God was robbed of tithe, Malachi 3:10, mine (God) house, Hebrews 7:5, the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, Hebrews 7:6, he whose descent is not counted from them (Melchisedec, I think), Hebrews 7:8, men that die, and Hebrews 7:9, Levi also, who receiveth tithes.

Who tithes?  Genesis 14:20, Abram, Leviticus 1:2, the children of Israel/man of you (children of Israel), Leviticus 27:2, the children of Israel, Leviticus 27:34, for the children of Israel, Numbers 18:24, the tithes of the children of Israel, Numbers 18:26, when ye take of the children of Israel the tithes, Numbers 18:28, which ye receive of the children of Israel, Deuteronomy 1:1, unto all Israel, 2 Chronicles 31:6, Concerning the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cites of Judah, Amos 4:5, O ye children of Israel, Malachi 1:1, The burden of the word of the Lord to Israel by Malachi, Malachi 3:8, Israel robbed God of tithes and offerings, Matthew 23:23, scribes and pharisees, Luke 11:42, Pharisees, Luke 18:12, Pharisee, Hebrews 7:5, people according to the law (children of Israel), Hebrews 7:6, tithes of Abraham, Hebrews 7:9, Levi, while he was still in the loins of Abraham, Nehemiah 13:12, all Judah, Amos 1:1, concerning Israel.

Where do tithe go?  2 Chronicles 31:11, Chambers in the house of the Lord, Deuteronomy 14:28, shalt lay it up within thy gates, Deuteronomy 26:12, within they gates, Nehemiah 10:38, unto the house of our God, to the chambers, into the treasure house, Nehemiah 12:44, chambers for the treasures, Nehemiah 13:5, great chamber, Nehemiah 13:12, unto the treasuries, Malachi 3:10, into the storehouse.

How much do you tithe?  Leviticus 27:31, fifth part thereof (if a man (children of Israel) will at all redeem ought of his tithes), Leviticus 27:32, the tenth, Numbers 18:21, tenth, Numbers 18:26, heave offering gets a tenth of the tithe, Deuteronomy 14:22, all the increase, Deuteronomy 14:28, thine increase, Deuteronomy 26:12, of thine increase.

What is a tenth?  Genesis 8:5, simply 10, "in the tenth month", Exodus 12:3, "the tenth day", simply 10, Exodus 16:36, Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah, kinda like a dime is the tenth part of a dollar, simply 10, Leviticus 27:32, the tenth of herd, flock, or whatsoever passeth under the rod, can't take 10% of 9 sheep.  Sure, a tenth can look to be 10% of something but only in certain conditions.

Why tithe?  Numbers 18:24, Levites to inherit, for the Levites shall have no inheritance, Numbers 18:26, for your inheritance (Levites), Numbers 18:28, heave offering to Aaron the priest, Numbers 18:31, for it is your reward for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation (Levites), Deuteronomy 26:12, that they may eat within they gates, and be filled, Nehemiah 12:44, portions of the law for the priests and Levites, Nehemiah 13:5, to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters.

When did tithing take place?  Genesis 14:20, after the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, when Melchizedek brought forth bread and wine, Abram tithed to Melchizedek, Leviticus 27:34, at mount Sinai, Deuteronomy 14:28, at the end of three years, the same year, Deuteronomy 26:12, the third year, which is the year of tithing, Amos 4:4, your tithes after three years.

Where did tithing take place?  Genesis 14:17, at the valley of Shaveh, Leviticus 27:34, mount Sinai, Deuteronomy 14:28, within thy gates.

Why change tithe to money?  Deuteronomy 14:24, "if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the Lord thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the Lord thy God hath blessed thee"

What to do with said money?  Deuteronomy 14:26, "and thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the Lord they God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household..."

I'm sure there is much more to add but this is what I could find.  Just going to the Word of God on this opened my eyes to far more than I could have ever gotten from "church."  After doing this research I can now appreciate even more the time Chris spends to give us his teachings.

A while back ago when my parents first started their church mom asked me to help her fill out the 501c3 paperwork.  I figured I would and every step of the way try to tell them not to.  I begged and brought up multiple examples just from what the paperwork was asking and that the Church was already exempt by showing them exactly where the law says they were exempt.  That didn't stop them.  The main excuse was so that when people "tithed" they could give them a tax write off at the end of the year.  I told them that if someone "tithes" to just get a tax write off at the end of the year then they are doing "tithing" wrong to begin with, which we all know tithing today isn't Biblical.  Not to mention, if the Church is already tax exempt then that means all donations would be automatically taxed exempt as well.  But they insisted on appeasing to those who were the main "tithers" of the church than to what was right in the sight of God.  Yet another subject that has ended in yelling.  By the way Chris, I did give my dad a CD copy of the first part of your repentance series and he said he would listen to it even after I asked him not to shut it off right after he heard something he disagreed with.  I can only pray that he does listen to it all the way through without shutting it off.  There again, if he tells me that he listened to it but turned it off because of a disagreement then all I can do is rebuke him for lying.

Hello Spencer,

Glad you ended up finding us.  There is a lot of learning here to be done and you will only get the truth here, even if it's offensive.  But be patient here and be prepared to learn things out of the norm.  It truly takes a seeker of truth and not willing ignorance to be here.  We seek to have the traditions and rudiments of Christ and not the worlds.  I would like to know more details on how you finally came to Christ if that's okay with you?

Unfortunately Jeanne I don't have a smart phone, nor do I want one.  It goes back to when I was accused by a female juvenile at work that I let her us my phone to get on facebook and make a phone call to somebody.  Thank God I didn't have a smart phone at that time because her story would have checked out more than what it already did.  After I was able to explain that my phone is incapable of internet the accusations where dropped immediatley.  At that point I decided that I wasn't going to get one and that the phone I have is functional enough for what I use it for.  I'll figure out a way to have a mic, even if I have to buy one earlier than I anticipated.

Chris, Jeanne, and Dee;

I would love nothing more than to join the church.  It may not be on Sundays due to me having to work from 8am to 4pm, which I'm going to try to talk to my superintendent about getting Sundays and Mondays off.  Another thing, I can't promise to always be there but I will do my best to join as much as I can.  As a transport officer there are times I have to transport late or fill in for another transporter.  I also don't have a mic yet for my computer, been meaning to get one for awhile now.

Bible Discussion / Re: Did Jesus say that he drank wine?
« on: August 15, 2019, 06:46:20 PM »
This is something that I have to explain all the time to people.  It's like people don't understand that wine can be alcoholic and non-alcoholic and that the Bible distinguishes between the two very clearly.  Non-alcoholic wine actually tastes better anyways, ie that's why it was called the good wine at the wedding when Jesus turned the water to wine.

That was really funny and true.  I like funnily true things.  I liked the part about the pie the most for some odd reason.
