Hearing those "life coaches" in the teaching is very much the same as having had to put up with the way the people speak and communicate in the church buildings here.  That was very difficult and outright painful to listen to.  And their audiences like to listen to it and are even prepared to part with money for it.  For those in the big businesses maybe the quality of what they produce is of about the same rubbish standard.
