Bible Discussion / KJV Bible for kids

Id like opinions whether a KJV bible for kids is necessary, appropriate, and safe. Im looking to get one for my grandkids, but something is causing me to have reservations about it. I suppose it’s knowing how most everything today is being deceptively altered. That, and the fact that I’ll be ordering it without having the opportunity to review it first hand. Although, id certainly review it before giving it to them. Has anyone had experience with these?

General Discussion / Witnessing to church goers

Has anyone here been able to reason with a typical church goer regarding 501c3, and get them to see the biblical definition of repentance? Im trying it, but it’s been futile this far. Im not dogmatic about it or anything. Just try to put it out there. So far, none have been willing to even consider it.

I’m consistently on the lookout for an unleavened church to attend. I so miss fellowship with like minded believers. I’ve been watching One church close to where i live, but it didn’t take long to see that it wasn’t one I could be a part of. I take note of what churches put out on their marquee. It can tell you a lot about what goes on inside the building. During the Christmas holiday this particular church building had “HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS” on it’s marquee.  There is Something about that that really offends me. It just seems wrong on multiple levels.

Not for one second have i ever believed Christ’s church was built on one man, but can someone educate me as to what Jesus is referring to when he uses the word “rock?”

General Discussion / Men came to my door inviting me to church

Recently two men came to my door inviting us to their church. No witness, no talk of salvation. Nothing! Just gave us a pamphlet with their church information. I wish I’d asked them if they were a 501c3 organization, and explained to them I’ve no interest in attending if they were. It was a missed opportunity, and i kinda feel bad about it.  I should have been ready to address the matter. Ill be prepared next time.
Im simply putting this out there to be prepared because i wasnt.

I have a dear dog who’s 21 years old. She’s at the end, and im struggling with the decision to put her down. On one hand I believe it’s God’s business, on the other hand He’s given us dominion over them. It’s very hard decision to make. Id sure appreciate your thoughts

Hi all! My name is bill, and im looking forward to some fellowship with like minded believers. I don’t have a church to attend. Ive tried many, and all were diametrically opposed to biblical standards. I need fellowship, and that’s why im here. I was born again at 21 years of age. Since that time I’ve spent 22 years in the US Navy, and retired in 2003. Since retirement I’ve been in and out of church after church. It’s been a harsh realization for me that All were 501c3 buildings with the state as their god. I look forward to sharing, and growing here.
