Thank you for explaining this one Chris. I was lost in his e-mails. I agree, he obviously just emailed you without reading through different books or listening to teachings. You cover these things very well.

Bible Discussion / Re: Friendship
« on: August 18, 2022, 11:20:36 AM »
"My question to the group is: Has keeping and finding friends been a particular struggle for you especially in the past few years of this covid deception, and what are you doing about it?"

This has been a struggle for me, but the Lord has been helping me to be more bold in the way I deal with friends who are not believers. I have been sharing, pointing our errors and backing up what I say with scriptures. I need more practice, but the Lord has been helping me.

I am not sure if that is what you were asking for sure, but that has been my experience.

Welcome to the forum Tanya. Have you read "Why Millions of Believers on Jesus are Going to Hell"? I know it would clear up your questions the way it did for me. It is early here still and I am not awake enough to give you scripture, but I know reading that book (for free at creationliberty.com) will help.

Bible Discussion / Re: How to study the Bible?
« on: June 29, 2020, 08:18:48 AM »
I have been thinking about your question, so I didn't answer immediately.

Has the Holy Spirit convicted you to go through it book by book slowly?  That is how you should study then. :)

The Bible says Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
As long as you are doing that, I am not sure there is a certain way to study.

That IS sad!

I speak some French and even if they used a colloquial phrase that didn't translate, it is still sad and scary.  Something else to pray about when it comes to mind. They need repentance so much.

I just had to add in here, after our discussion on this on Sunday. . . Jeanne, I nearly spit water all over the screen when I saw your comment!  :D

Everyone has such good comments.  I don't feel the need to repeat them. I thought many of the same things.

My boys and I really like it!  Good job!

I was horrified by this.

I also needed to add how I enjoyed the part where you show the website and how to find the book.  :D   That was neat for those who can see it.

Oh my Shannon!  You have been through so much and God has kept you in such a beautiful way!

Welcome again! I hope you have found a "home" with us here at CLE.  We all learn so much.

Yes, Shannon, I was just about to comment when Jeanne did.  Welcome!  I am so glad you found CLE and us and can continue learning the truth through God's Word!  I am looking forward to getting to know you.  I don't get on here everyday, but I do when I can.

Wow!  Where does one even begin?  I was standing here going "what?" then, "wait, what?" "Where is getting this?" His many words remind me of Andrew, of whom I have spoken to the church.

The one thing that really struck me was the "critical spirit" thing.  I have heard that often from other people who look at the website and it seems to me to be an excuse to not really search out the truth in the website and teachings.

Just my thoughts.  I thought Chris answered him well.

It sounds like you have learned what repentance is.

To answer your question, when one has repented in grief and godly sorrow, then of course there is room for error.  God knows that we "are dust" and we will do things we should not do. But, Praise God, we will not just live in our sin!  We will go to Him and repent of our sin and He gives us the Mercy we don't deserve. :)

Again, welcome.

Hi Luke, I'm glad you found us here. I hope you will continue to grow in the knowledge of the truth of God's Word.

I am a bit concerned, though, since you said you were about to go to college. This is pretty much opinion, but I believe college is a waste of time and money. Universities in America now are pretty much nothing more than indoctrination centres (just like the rest of the public schools) where they push agendas more than any type of real education. If you really want to pursue a degree, I think you could save a lot of money if you looked into taking some courses online.

I agree with Jeanne.  It really does depend on what you are going to do for a career.

Maybe I missed it, but what are your views on repentance? Chris sent you a wonderful book and I hope you read it.

Welcome. I enjoy people who come here because they are asking questions, especially questioning what they have been taught in church buildings.

Hi John and welcome.

I have to admit, as I first began reading your testimony, I though you were still being lead astray.  Praise God you are questioning what you have been taught! You will find similar stories here.  Keep reading your KJV and you will be able to find the answers you are looking for.  :) The Lord gave you humility to repentance, and that is most important.

I am sure Chris can explain that you don't need to go to seminary to teach the gospel of repentance to others.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

You need only to study the Word of God and teach others the truth.

Wild Emails @ CLE / Re: Woman Heaping to Herself Many Corrupt Teachers

I do not want to judge her hypocritically, as I have been guilty of lying myself, but that was the first thing I saw as well: she was not telling the truth in what she wanted to do.

Thank you for sharing that.  I could see many "red flags" in her original letter.

General Discussion / Re: It's Flu Season 😷
« on: March 25, 2020, 09:56:39 AM »
I normally reject the flu shot without any questioning from the doctors. However, that completely changed when I was pregnant. At the time, the only knowledge I had of vaccines is what I was taught in my medical microbiology course in college. Needless to say, I used to be very provax.

The flu shot and Tdap are pushed to the extremes for pregnant women on the basis that it gives antibodies to the baby. I had only recently came to Christ at the time, but knew there was something wrong with getting them while pregnant. The scientific articles only showed a negligible benefit from in utero vaccines, so I politely declined them on that basis and told the doctors that. They did not like that and tried to use intimidation on me to change my mind on multiple visits. I consented to getting the tdap after delivery, so that had eased tensions.

It was not until the very last under 2 year old shot for my daughter that I finally realized the truth of them. It grieves me that I made that decision without knowing the truth.

I "knew" about the vaccines while my boys were getting the shots, but the doctors filled me with such fear.  I stopped all vaccines after the diagnosis of the brain injury.  It has been a long battle.  I am so glad you learned the truth and stopped as well.

What's New @ CLE / Re: (ARTICLE) Denominations Are Unbiblical
« on: March 25, 2020, 09:50:55 AM »
I am also eager to study this article. . . I have to make time for it.  I also really enjoyed the demotivational meme! Those guys look really scary!

So far, people have been receptive when I shared the article.  I hope you don't get too much bad feedback.

39
I don't like that, but such is the way of the world.  I am not surprised. Amazon still will not let me leave a review of "Why Millions of Believers. . ." It tells me that reviews for the book are closed.  There are only 3 and one of them I thought was poor.  She didn't know what she was talking about.  Anyway, I am disappointed that people can get on YT, use all kinds of language, promote all kinds of lies, but those that tell the truth are taken down.

The discussion on this last night was great!  Thank you Dedrick for speaking with us about it. I am still stunned that lady thought she knew so much about racism.
