Evangelism / YouTube Channel 'Preach the Word' - Good Evangelism?
« on: July 15, 2020, 01:31:08 PM »
I'm not sure about this yet because I have only seen a few videos they have done, but I think I might have found another evangelism group that is teaching what is right. I came upon them while studying for another subject. As far as I understand, they do teach repentance, and they teach godly sorrow. This group is traveling to a lot of places to street preach, and so far, they seem solid, but have very few subscribers (which sounds about right if they are teaching repentance and remission of sins). I could be wrong about something, or I might have missed something that they are doing wrong, but if any of you want to check them out more thoroughly, you can let me know if I missed anything.
https://www.youtube.com/c/MasaoGonthier/videos

It's possible I might have stumbled upon a rare gem because there are very few teaching what is right in street evangelism nowadays.

I am currently rewriting that article on music into a full-length book. It was very poorly done the first time around because I did that back when I had to work a job while working ministry at the same time. Now that I've been working full-time the past few years, I have more time to put into better quality work, so I'm going to be cleaning, organizing, rewriting, and adding much more information over the next few months.

It's just the algorithm. That's how it works.

Yeah, he does not understand what that means. He's been listening to false preachers. I just got done writing commentary on that chapter.
http://creationliberty.com/articles/book1corinthians03.php#15

[v54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

It is Isaiah 25:8 that says, "He will swallow up death in victory," and that "the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces," which would indicate the end of all suffering and pain for the saints, and in order to end all pain and suffering, death must be defeated, which is why Paul wrote earlier in this chapter that the last enemy that will be destroyed is death. (1Co 15:26)

[v55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Death will have no more power over the saints, which means that there will be no more destruction and corruption of death, and that also means the stinging pain of death will be no more. This seems to be somewhat taken from Hosea 13:14, that "repentance [i.e. grief and sorrow] shall be hid from mine eyes," that the tears of grief and sorrow will no longer plague the countenance of those who have been translated into Christ's Kingdom.

[v56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

That is, with the removal of death must also come the removal of sin, because, as Paul wrote earlier in this chapter, by sin came death. (1Co 15:22) So the sting of pain comes from death, and death comes from sin, which means the foundation of the sting comes from sin. This is not to say that the law endorses or encourages sin of any kind, nor is it to say that the law is sin, as Paul had written to the Roman church that the law is most definitely not sin of any kind (Rom 7:7), but rather, the law is the moral force upon which sin is conceived because without good, there is no evil, and therefore, once sin is destroyed, there will be no more need for the law either, and all the saints will live in accordance to the charitable fulfillment of the law, in perfection, as we were originally intended to be, in peace and harmony with one another.

Haha! What?! At about 8:55, that guy said that Paul taught the law was the ministry of death. Where did he get that? He said to read "Corinthians" for it, but Paul does not teach that to Corinth. It sounds like he has been listening to a false preacher because Paul wrote:
"What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet."
-Rom 7 :7

And that's why he also taught:
"But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."
-Gal 3 :23-24

I found it interesting that when you were preaching against the wickedness of idolatry and fornication, and that set him off. I mean, you were just preaching against wickedness in general before he showed up, and he did not show any evidence that he was a Christian. He scoffed at Scripture and cussed at you for quoting it. I hope God has mercy on him that he might come to repentance and be saved. I kind of laughed to myself that he was afraid his wife might put a bridle on his tongue unless he first sent her away so she would not hear.

So they turned baptism into some sort of concert?

770
Same thing; it does not appear on my end. So yes, he shadow blocks comments that have links in them.

771
I saw the same thing you did by White's question. That's why I said: "he refused any further communication with me, and then immediately came to Mike Winger, a student of worldly theology, to help justify himself"

I went back to my comment and rewrote that small paragraph to remove the link. I don't know if that will work, but I believe there is an option on Youtube to prevent any comments with links in them from appearing on the channel. Why there is no notification of these things for users is beyond me.

I tested it on another account and I could see it.

I guess I just don't know the situation or the ordinances of where he was at to know if he was in the right or not.

773
I went through all the comments on that video too but I couldn't find yours. If you can still see it, Chris, that tells me it's being shadowbanned, meaning you can see it so you think it's still there but nobody else can.
It's likely that the channel's owner is holding it because he does not want anyone to see it. That's why I often come here to show you guys what I've written, otherwise, I would be wasting my time. That's also another reason why I do not mess around with social media that much. There are too many ways to get censored for no reason other than the owner does not want to hear the truth, and so at least it can be viewed publicly here.

The attachment will show what I see on my screen.

774
Sorry Megan, some of my post got cut off from the copy/paste I did of White's email. It had one awkward apostrophe in it. I fixed the problem, so you can read the rest of the post. The YT comment is still there.

Why would someone donating the money to build an app for someone make you skeptical?

775
I found this today by accident while I was doing research on something unrelated. This was from over a year ago, back in March of 2019. Here is the video reference, the link has the time stamp, so you will not have to watch the entire video, and his answer is only about five minutes long:
https://youtu.be/fT3CWYKsS-4?t=700

I found this ironic, since he has a website called "biblethinker.org," but his foundation is not based on Scripture, it is based on Greek grammar dictionaries. I left a Youtube comment, and I'll quote it here, with a little color and spacing to organize it for easier reading since Youtube is terrible for making thorough comments. After that, I'll leave you guys to comment on the details; I'll be interested to see your analysis of the video.

My name is Christopher Johnson, and I am the teacher of third question of this video about Creation Liberty Evangelism. I just want everyone who might read this to understand that this man, Mike Winger, is scamming you. The foundation of this man's doctrine and philosophy is Greek grammar dictionaries, not the Word of God, as you can see from his own statement (14:04): "What you kind of want, if you can find it, is a resource that gives you more data than that, right? Like, more information about the word."

The problem is that, after he said this, Winger did NOT point people to the context of the Bible for that extra data, allowing God to explain what He means by what He says (as we are supposed to study Scripture, which the Bible teaches us to do in Isaiah 28:10-13), but rather, Winger points them to very expensive "bible tools," which are basically Greek grammar dictionaries, and I have some teachings on our website where you can get more information about how Mike Winger is scamming you all into thinking he has Scriptural understanding, when he does not. I will simply give you the titles, as I do not want to spam links in this post on his video, but you can look them up on my website:

The 'Original Greek' Scam (keyword search 'greek')

The Dangers of Using Lexicons and Concordances (keyword search 'lexicon')

I will provide just one link. If you want to hear the gospel on repentance that Mike Winger does not understand, the following link is my teaching on repentance where you can learn the context of God's Word, rather than going to secular sources for information: http://www.creationliberty.com/articles/repent.php

When you forsake the worldly ways of Mike Winger, and choose to put your trust in the Lord God, you can go to God's Word for understand, and He defined repentance at the very beginning:
"And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them." -Gen 6:6-7
The Bible (at least, the King James Bible) has a built-in dictionary for most words, and repentance is defined here as "grief" in general. Did God "turn" from making man, or did He "change his mind" from making man? Obviously not, or we would not be here right now; rather, God GRIEVED that He had made man, because it hurt him how wicked they had become. The fact is that, if God turned or changed from making man, then it would make God a liar because He already foretold the coming of Jesus Christ in Gen 3:15, and so Winger's doctrine is not only inconsistent when you look at Scripture, but it directly contradicts Biblical prophecy.

To show more deception, the man who asked the question, Christopher White, did indeed write me, but his so-called "rebuke" did not consist of any doctrine, Scripture, or anything else substantial to prove his points. Instead, he went to majority opinion and respecting the persons of worldly "scholarship" as his justification, as you can see for yourself - here is his entire "rebuke" letter:
"After further study of this issue, I have concluded that you are plainly in error. Nobody sir, almost nobody teaches the meaning of repentance  as you do. You have convinced yourself that you can't trust greek, lexicons, dictionaries, bible versions and concordances just so you can avoid the obvious. The fact that a man, with little to no formal seminary training, can thumb his nose at over 500 years of biblical scholarship and then teach a subject in error ( that almost no one else teaches)  is outlandishly arrogant. You are bound as a servant of Christ to examine your teachings and we will all answer for what we teach. May the Lord rebuke you sir, if you do not correct your abhorrent teaching of repentance. I do not expect i'll hear from you again but i'll pray for you."

Of course, majority opinion is rebuked in Scripture as well, especially since the majority of "Bible scholars" in the days of Jesus Christ were against Him too:
"Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:" -Exd 23:2

I answered him thoroughly, and showed him the Scriptural problems with what he was saying, but he refused any further communication with me, and then immediately came to Mike Winger, a student of worldly theology, to help justify himself. That email was sent to me on Mar 11th, 2019, and so this video from Winger took place the following day; demonstrating that White refused communication with me after his "slap-and-run" comments, and then sought out Winger to give him an excuse for doing it.

The reason Mike Winger and Christopher White cling to lexicons is because it gives them an excuse for the pride of their hearts (see Jms 4:6), so they would not have to be humbled to repentance (i.e. grief, or in terms of salvation of mankind, godly sorrow of wrongdoing) before God, and instead believe that their "turning from sin" or "changing their minds" (which is the definition of CONVERT, not repentance) is the foundation of the gospel of Jesus, which is a works-based doctrine. This is why the Holy Spirit has told us in the Word of God that He does not choose the intelligent, lofty, well-educated, and mighty people of this world to preach His Word, but instead, He more often chooses the lowly, foolish, uneducated, and despised to preach, so that no flesh would glory of themselves in their presumed knowledge:
"For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence." -1Co 1:26-29

I realize that most of you likely respect the person of Mike Winger, and therefore, you will not hear me out (which, by the way, is sinful if you do that, Jms 2:1 & Jms 2:9, and also against wisdom of God, Pro 18:13), but I can only pray that one of you out there might read this and decide to look into (and study, 2Ti 2:15) the matter yourself because Mike Winger is NOT teaching you to think Biblically. I hope that helps someone.

There is no higher volume. It's recording as normal. The difference is that we are now meeting locally in one of our church members' homes, and we still have everyone on Skype listening live as well.

778
Well, let's make sure we define that:
click bait (n): something (such as a headline) designed to make readers want to click on a hyperlink especially when the link leads to content of dubious value or interest

Technically, I have to defend Caleb's analysis, because a soft title to a sharp teaching would be content that baits people to a link that "leads to content of dubious value." When I first read his analysis last night, I started to object, but then I thought about it more, and I think he was technically correct. That's why I wanted to define click bait, so we can all understand that it works both ways, positive to negative, and negative to positive, because it is essentially bait-and-switch.

779
To provide a soft title on a sharp work of literature would be deceptive.
Lorraine and I agree.

780
I did not receive this guy's email until about three weeks after he sent it because it went into my spam folder. The awkward way he wrote it got the letter auto-flagged for spam by my email. To save room, I am condensing the amount of spacing this guy put between the lines.

JAMES FROM CA

I hope you are well and good!
Thank you for your information on 501 c3 Corporations.
I have two comments........hopefully.......helpful
I would recommend.......a new design and layout...... for website
Your website model..........is narrow and way outdated template.......
The title on your prolific and complete article is 'STRIKING'
I think this is too striking?...........perhaps knocking people out.......before engaging the content.
I assume your Godly goal is getting the Truth out and informing as many as possible.........to save/rescue lives from error and deception.
I would suggest a more invitational.......title.
Having the actual content read.........is the goal.
I invite you to pray........about these....points.

I apologize for taking so long to get back with you; your message was filtered into my spam folder, and I think it was because of the strange way you wrote and structured it. I did not see it until this morning.

I assume your godly goal is to set a better example, and that you would not have written to me without understanding of the matter, so you are welcome to send me your ministry's website and the article you wrote on the subject of 501c3 so I can see a better example of how things should be done. Go ahead and send me those and I will take a look at them.

Have a great day.

THE FOLLOWING RESPONSE WAS WRITTEN IN EXTREMELY LARGE FONT AND SPACED VERY STRANGE:

Hola Christopher Johnson,

Thank you for your reply in regards to my note to you. It is interesting that you requested to see my ministry website. I would gladly provide you with a view yet, it is offline and more than just that, I am now in the market for a new site development. The hosting service and provider of the site-template and all tools has discontinued its provision of the site template upon my renewal of the contract. This simply means the site is gone and irreplaceable. I loved the site, its layout, slide flash and features. Now, I am actually excited about what can be and the fresh and new and what the Lord has in view.

In my search I have seen some great galleries and demos and options. Here is a link from one of my searches if you might be interested now or in the future for a new site development.

In reference to my suggestion for an alternative title for your article on the 501c3 Church. Here is one idea.
The 501c3 Church: Facts and Findings 'Essential Knowledge for Every Church Leader and Member'

In everything What is Holy Spirit saying or showing you........ That is what is all important. If He is saying........Keep it as is........what you have
Then great......no other considerations are needed.
Thanks again for your reply.
May you have God's 'REST' in your Labor of Love,
In His Grace,
Your brother in Christ,
James

Well, the problem is that your emails are barely readable. You have not structured them well, and it's no wonder I keep getting spam warnings on your letters. If you do not know how to structure a basic email, how exactly do you think you understand what needs to be done with a website?

Furthermore, you said your website is mostly down. Mine is mostly up. What made you believe that you were going to know how to give advice to someone else when you don't have a working website?

Also, I did not ask you to send me a list of website designers. I built my site from scratch by hand (i.e. coding and writing by hand in HTML, CSS, and PHP), and you send me a list of pre-designed orders to pay for? Are you going to pay a salary for someone to maintain our website every year so I don't have to worry about it? I doubt it, but the fact is that I do not have that kind of money. So, are you just having a one-sided conversation by yourself?

Even worse, I did not ask you to send me your suggestions for a title. I asked you to send me YOUR teaching on 501c3 so I could look at it. Let me guess: You don't have one do you? That makes sense now.

So in summary, you have no website experience, you do not have an online ministry, you don't write anything because you don't teach on these topics, what you have shown me so far in your emails is terrible, you have no intention of understanding because you don't ask any questions, but despite all this, you think you have the experience and knowledge to judge what I am doing and writing (after I have spent 11 years in ministry) without asking me a single question about WHY I'm doing it that way?

James, I do not have time for this. You are not having a conversation with me, you are talking AT me, and you are doing so without understanding. As you said in your first letter: "I invite you to pray about these points." I am not changing everything around to suit your personal preferences, but if you ever want to understand the matter, you are always welcome to ask me why, instead of assuming whatever you personally think is automatically the "Holy Spirit." If you do not like our ministry, there are plenty of others out there. I hope you find what is best for you and your family, I hope you depart from our ministry in peace, and I hope you have a great day.

END OF DISCUSSION

James did not write back, which makes sense because even if he did, he would likely not respond with anything logical or reasonable; he would likely respond in a "how-dare-you" type of manner. Although, I did not check my spam folder, so I don't know for sure if he did not respond now that I think about it.

After responding to this, I created an FAQ section to answer people who complain about the titles to my teachings. You can find it here: http://creationliberty.com/faq.php#changetitle

I guess it never ceases to amaze me how many times I ask someone questions in email, and I do not get an answer to my question. I think it would be interesting to go through all the back emails I have published here, and see what percentage of my questions get answered.

Lorraine took a look at this, and she suspected he did not read the 501c3 book. The more I thought about it, the more I am became convinced she was right; I'm not sure he read it either.

It should also be noted that I had already changed the logo on the website weeks before I saw his email, so this had no effect on the changes we made.

One of the oddest things I noticed was that he wrote "God's 'REST'" -- he put 'rest' in all caps, and then put it in quotations. I have no idea what he meant by adding those modifiers onto the word; anyone's guess is as good as mine I suppose, at least when it comes to the rambling of someone who has no understanding or experience on this matter.
